This is the clearest, simplest, complete explanation of the genetics of Alzheimer’s I have found. It even has a picture for the visual folks (like me).

And, here is a link to the Columbia University center that does genetic testing:

Alz Information

You should be able to find out plenty more at this site--

Alzheimer's Disease Education & Referral Center--ADEAR--

http://www.alzheimers.org/

Use this site to find current, comprehensive Alzheimer's disease (AD) information and resources from the U.S. Government's National Institute on Aging (NIA).

Oh, for so short a time,

robert, thank you so much for this posting.i to found alot of alzheimers related info at columbia. it was really there input[on this site] that made me want to donate robs brain to science.
they are the kindness most supportive group of people.
[i was able to do it all on the internet/fax]

robert i also want to tell you what a wonderful, caring supportive man you are. its not every man that would give up his lifes work, career to care for a spouse with ad.
then to keep her busy and interested, the traveling you do is putting your self in even more intense caregiving stress.
a lot of the people on this thread have not had the oppertunity to know you and the abundence of research you have done to better care for maryann.
the ladies here would be amased at how well groomed and neat,up to date
looking you keep ma.i sulate you. i personally do not know how you do it.
there would be days on end i could not even change robs cloths, try as hard as i did there were days he looked like a hobo.
