Hi all,
My name is Karen, and my husband, Phil was diagnosed with EOAD in 1999, at the age of 49. He was an engineer, very physically active, loved swimming, hiking, windsurfing. Meanwhile, I have gone on disability with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

I just put Phil in an Alzheimer's care home several weeks ago. The facility and staff are wonderful, but it has been a tough adjustment for all. My husband is having paranoid delusions, and will have his meds tweeked tomorrow. My kids are having a hard time accepting the placement. And I am finding that after being relieved of the business and the caregiving responsibilities, the emotions are slamming me with overwhelming depression and sadness.
So......hello everyone,
Karen

Hello Karen, and welcome.

I pray that God will help you on this journey. Welcome to the forumn, for there are a lot of people here that care enough to hand out advice. This is the best place that I have ever found myself.

Love is given without the need for receipt
