My stress level is now dropping too, thank God!

I'm counting the days Max (rockweiller that belongs to my nephew) will leave here. I have so many huge dog piles in the back yard....like cleaning up after a horse, especially if your used to very small dogs. Mom doesn't spend time with him at all like she did in Tx, as one of my yorkies stays in her lap.

Mom is calmer too. She's doing for herself just as she did in Tx now. Which takes a lot off me. I know the time will come where I HAVE to do for her, but as long as she's able, does her better to do it herself.

I think part of Mom's aggitation was nephew was trying to get HER to find another home for the dog. That and I told her she'd do better physically, and mentally if she did for herself as she did in Tx.

Glad this week is finally over, and things are calmer here.

Hoping the weather is pretty tomorrow, so I can get out and build mom a ramp going to the front door. Going in and out with the 4 legged wheeled walker, she has 2 steps. One going from the sidewalk to the porch, then another going into the house. I want to make a ramp so there will be no steps at all, just one "speed bump" in the threashold. That way, I won't be as worried about her getting in and out of the house.

I also put the porch swing back out front yesterday. I know when I need to get out, I can sit out there, and at least see and talk to neighbors too. That way, I won't feel so isolated.

I have another goal after her eye appt the 22ond. I want to get her hearing checked, and see about getting another hearing aid for the ear that Max ate a few years back. She definitely needs to hear, cause I'm not good at LOUD talking all the time to her. If the one she has can't be adjusted, we'll get her 2 new ones. Her eyesight is pretty shot, so she at least needs to be able to hear conversations when she has visitors, and when I talk to her.

Hoping to be caught up in another week or so at getting her back established here in Mobile.

I feel things are MUCH better than they were 4 days ago. I don't feel I'm loosing what sanity I have left.
