Hello, I am so glad I found you all. I take care of my Mom in my home she has dementia. I was taking care of my Dad as well but it got too difficult we had to place him in an asstd. living and he just recently passed away. We miss him so much. He had Alzheimers, that horrible disease. I do have some help come in few hours daily and my wonderful husband and kids help too.I am so stressed though it's so difficult at times. I am watching my Mom fade away just like my Dad right in front of my eyes, its sad. I have siblings that do Nothing. I don't bother with them anymore. I asked for their help so many times and they refuse so I quit. I won't beg. I am glad to be here I know I will gain alot from you all and maybe I can help someone too.

Hey Angelina, welcome. This is a tough job, only the strong can do it. So you must be one strong woman. Good luck and hope we can all help in someway to make this easier for you.

So glad you found your way here, Angelina! A home caregiver has a mighty tough, lonely job and it's a wonderful feeling to be able to share experiences and difficulties with others who "walk the walk and talk the talk."

Progressive brain destroying conditions are horrendous to observe. When they don't remember us, we have to remember them. It's a worthy gift you are giving to your Mom - many blessings to you for all that you do in her service. Smile
