Even lovelier. I sure hope all the instant fame doesn't throw her for a loop. :-)

And just a little more about this phenomenon just in case some of you missed it. Ms Boyle performed on a rendition of "Cry Me a River" for a charity album in 1999 that is outstanding, I don't care who you are.

If you haven't heard it, get the hankies ready.

Get the tissues! Here are the lyrics:

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high,
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid
When dreams were made and used,
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung,
No wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apart
As they turn your dreams to shame.

And still I dream he'll come to me
And we will live our lives together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms
We cannot weather...

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seems
Now life has killed
The dream I dreamed.

She's my hero, too!
I loved the jaw dropping judges' looks, especially Simon.

I am so happy she had the courage to do this.

My friend called me to say her 12 yr old son showed it to her, after a teacher showed the class at school!

Talk about a ripple going out to sea!

An interview with CBS. She was a caregiver to her mother until mom died recently.

Well done, Op. I appreciated the follow up info also. Looks like Simon is offering her a record deal.

I also have noticed that the British version has many more awesome surprises than the USA one. Theories, anyone?

MERRWID, LOL. the same thing happens to me when I follow to youtube. One thing leads to another and another.

I felt she stood up for plump, eccentric, middle-aged ladies everywhere and since I am one, she's my hero now.

Guess I'm not the only one who was moved because I see the video has had over 2 million views in just two days. I was curious to know more about her and found this:

I hope she finds fame is all she hoped it would be because I'm sure we'll be hearing more from her. A gift like that doesn't come along every day. :-)

BTW, merrwid, thanks for the tip about the Stavros Flatley clip. That was great, too. The British show seems to be much, much more entertaining than the U.S. version. :-)

Whoa! This lady is fabulous.
But I really kinda hate Youtube. I came to the forum 15 minutes ago, clicked on this, and got caught up in a few more while I was there.
Check out "Stavros Flatley" when you get a chance.
