Ok everyone..I need to get some prayers going for me tonight. I feel a few weeks ago and didn't go to the doc right away (I know..take care of thyself). At any rate, I went today and it turns out I have a very bad infection in my leg as a result of the fall and the doc is really worried (his words) about it. He is doubling me up on antibiotics tonight and in the morning and wants to see me tomorrow afternoon. If the swelling has not gone down by then, he is going to have to do surgery and I would be in the hospital at least a week!! I told him I can't do that and his only comment was that I was too tough for my own good. SO...please, please say a prayer that the meds will work and there will be no surgery. The thought of my poor mom and what this would do to her is very scarey for me.
Thank you all..........

Bev-Sorry I'm late with my prayers but sending them along that your leg is getting better and no hospital or surgery is necessary.

OK, Bev, its noon and I see your name up there, so I am hoping you are NOT in the hospital. Please tell me you had improved enough this AM for home treatment, (fingers crossed, hoping for good news)

tag, your it....I don't want to be it!!! *L*
I have a really bad infection in my leg that seems to get worse by the day. We won't go into the whys of why I didn't go to a doc before now. Eek

Mom knows who hubby is when she is not sundowning, which is not happening every night, so hopefully it will be ok. But you are so right about back up plans...I just didn't think there was a need for one for us because I thought whatever happened between the 2 of us we could handle it. I will get on that plan as soon as I get this settled. One of the things that is so bad is that I have an appt. with her doc on Friday to talk to him about some meds...if I do have to have the surgery, I will be calling the doc at home tomorrow night.

Thanks for the prayers sweetie.....I believe in the power of prayer which is why I asked for it...I WILL BE BETTER!!!!!

Breathe,,,, what kind of surgery,? A lot of things are out patient. Bargain with him. But do the best for you.

Don't beat your self up, I am the last one to go to the doc for me (well actually, when I got a cut below my eye and could see that I could not clean out the rust from the metal fence post by myself, I did get Hub to take me to the Doc-in-the-Box in the next county.)

Yeah, I am the first to quote the mantra about self care, and until now, I thought I was the last to follow it... hmmm, tag, your it.

You have my prayers that the antibiotics do the wonder thing for you. This is a horrible time to remind all that we must have a back up plan, but it is so. Does your mother still think your H is a strange man? If you can't be at home, maybe her doc can arrange some short term antianxiety med? I don't like the thought, but you will get through this, she will, and H will.

In the morning your leg will show a great deal of improvement and this will be a moot point. You have my prayers.
