Happy Sooooper Bowl Day. Yay Giants! Even though they beat the packers, I always root for the underdogs! Glad they won.

It's been a while since I've visited. I'm happy to write that my mama is thriving in the group home we found for her. I was very fearful about moving her there with all I've heard about loved ones going downhill. But with mama it has been the complete opposite. Oh, her memory is getting shorter all the time, but she is thriving in the group home with the 19 other ladies. All long-term care places should be this wonderful. The staff is awesome! All of the families of the patients are very involved. Lots of activities every day. Community very involved.

We emptied out the house finally last week. That has been a very difficult, long-term ordeal. But now that's done, and we can rent the house out and continue to provide for mom's excellent care.

When I think back on how things were last May, I can hardly believe it. I thought mom would be gone my Christmas. I believe she is thriving because she is with people again, after being pretty housebound while dad was so sick and for the year following his passing.

A newcomer has contacted me from Chicago. She is helping to take care of her mama and is having a rough time. I told her you guys were a beacon in the night.
