Just curious as to why all of you chose the avatars that you did. (never mind the grammar). I thought the train explained me rather well ... barreling through life from one goal to another, right down the track. But it does need some indication of the multiple branches that the train can be, and is, deflected onto.

I have had a couple of avatars. This one for me is says that I am handling what life deals me. I have had a picture of baby also, as I am the youngest, and have gone thru a learning experience and once all the estate stuff is done, hopefully by the end of summer, I will change it to a couple. Right now I am just dealing.

Meadow...

Meadow...you do not necessarily have to use a pic you find in the avatar file for your avatar---you can use others that are linked on the web too...mine is...

Oh, for so short a time,

Don't know WHY, but ....

Just wanted to bring this up again. It's been awhile since Sonia first asked this question ... and we've had many new members since then.

So, what's the motivation/inspiration behind the avatar you chose? Some have already answered (me, included.) But, "some" haven't (you know who you are!) Big Grin

Come on! Fess up!

That's a reasonable facsimile of my Mom that you see in the avatar I chose...right down to the beautiful smile, devilish sparkle in her eyes and the uniform! She was a woman Marine in WWII; joined to "free a man to fight" and see the world. Unfortunately, she got stuck in Camp LeJune--known as the "land that God forgot"!!! Served 22 months during which time she met my Dad, also a Marine who made it his career (my Mom AND the Marines Big Grin.
Everytime I see the avatar she's lookin' back at me!!
Semper Fi, Mom...I miss you.

In my darkest hour at 5yrs old I knew that there was a God and that angels took care of us. I collect angels and these days when hubby is going thru this part of his journey they bring me peace.

Sechang, you opened a neat can of worms here.

I chose my avatar because it reminds me of the little girl I still carry around with me "inside."

And I sometimes post with the blue butterfly because it reminds me of my Daddy.

I chose the clasp hands because I am a strong believer in reaching out to others.I do not wait for it to happen I make it happen. When I reach the point where I am too busy to reach out to others I have lost who I am.I would be consumed in me, me , me , not the way I coose to be. Big Grin

Simple-I love cats and I have a lot in common with them. That is not to say I'm catty. Nor do I have trouble with furballs. Otherwise...

I chose mine, because everyone tells me I am like the Mona Lisa. I'm sometimes very quiet, and you can't tell what is really going on inside. My mother tells me that when I was a little girl, she could never tell when I was upset until she'd see a quiet little tear running down my face.I put up a tough front sometimes but inside, my feelings get hurt very easily, I usually just don't let anyone know how much I am effected. I just want to keep the harmony but realize that is not a job one person can do.I also have very long (past my waist) dark hair.So that avatar seemed appropriate.I keep everyone guessing...what is she thinking?I'll never tell. Well except to you guys here, where I spill my guts on a pretty regular basis.Interesting topic. Thanks.
