i posted awhile back about not taking care of grandma anymore awhile back but that didnt exactly happen cuz with out getting paid i didnt have the money to leave
but
my uncle stepped up and along with the little bit my mom was sending me i have saved up enough to leave, i had applied to got back to school here however addmissions at the tech school lost my paper work and i was bumped to a waiting list, so i have no more reason to stay in this area, so by november i will be living back in iowa Smile i am really excited about this.
oh yea and the state of michigan finally started paying me but i dont even care about that since i wont get back pay from when i first started taking care of grandma but i asked grandma who she wanted to do all the things i did when i leave and she said my dear auntie, so be it, auntie can deal with everything now since she felt i was just living off of grandma, and if grandma gets real bad and ends up in a nursing home it will fall on auntie i have done all i can and now grandma and her favorite child can do their own thing.
at first i was looking at the last few months as months i have wasted however after saying this to my mom she reminded me that i (and all other care givers) are special people and it takes a special type of person to care for someone else. and that the months were not wasted it was time spent growing and learning and now its time to move on

I'm glad you are moving on with your life, dear. This would have continued to be an exercise in frustration for you and it really IS your auntie's primary responsibility. You have learned a LOT of lessons about life that many people don't even realize exist until they are a LOT older.

Best wishes and I hope you can get back in school after the holidays! Smile
