Well everyone...

I'm really just on an emotional rollercoaster with this pregnancy. Nothing seems to be going easily other then the fact that I haven't miscarried and baby is growing and looks "healthy" physically.

For starters... back in April, I had the AFP test (triple screen test) that screens for Down's syndrome and Tri 18. Well my OB at the time guessed wrong on the ultrasound and the AFP test was "tossed out" after doing a level 2 ultrasound and seeing "nothing" concerning. The doctor who did that ultrasound also changed my due date to Oct 9th.

OK the results of this ultrasound.
The bad: either the baby was sitting funny or there's another possiblity of Down's syndrome. Making (yet another) appointment to see the fetal diagnositics team of experts to have that checked out.
- Placenta is low lying just about the cervix which can cause possible difficulties durning labor, but also has the potential to move higher as baby grows and stretches the uterus more.

the not so much of an issue:
- Placenta is also anterior which mean that he's moving around but i'm not feeling him as much as I should because the placenta is acting like a pillow.
- finally, He's a foot breach atm. Hopefully he will flip and be head down, but if he won't fliip then there are a few tricks to try otherwise I'm looking at an automatic C-section *sighs*
-Due date is looking to be Oct 15th, but we will stick with Oct 9th and just wait the few extra days if he hasn't come yet.

The good.
-usual stuff... Heart looks and sounds good, umblical cord looks good, there's enough amino fluid, he looks fine (expect for the "down's syndrome marker" on the neck).
-Baby is still a Boy. (and is "hung" just like his daddy too! LOL)

Was planning to tell grandma Rose today (we haven't told her yet and I'm beginning to show), but now I'm kinda of discouraged again about this baby. Hubby and I are STILL tossing names at each other.

Ahhh... off to make phone calls for more appointments

Hope you all are having "quieter" days!
