Wishing all a very safe, healthy 4th of July. We will also celebrate Canada Day as well since it was this past Tues.
BBQ and fireworks for all who would like to attend. I'm going to be bringing a neverending salad with fresh cherry tomatoes from my plant in the backyard with some fresh basil as well in it.(eerything else will come from the store). So come on in, kick off your shoes, have a soak in the kiddy pool (sorry the old adult pool stayed with the house when it was sold) and most important let me take care of you guys as well as you have taken care of me when I was a caregiver.

Dan's Gal, It's been a while, glad you could drop by. Your Aunt and I have a common cause, and a "warped" sense of justice. I think I would really like her.

Hope you and yours had a happy and safe Independence Day. The smoke issues are hard. Here, it is peat fires, which are actually under the ground and can pop up anywhere the peat deposits are (old prehistoric swamp areas). We have been lucky, only a few days when the wind sent it at us. I have heard that the young and old and those with breathing problems are really starting to hurt.

Best of luck ol' friend.

I am really irked when some bozo operation sends the same offer multiple times in one month. The enclosures are wrapped in another piece of scrap paper with the message "Deal with your own trash".

My local post office assured me there was nothing illegal about this, and that if weight went over, the company would even be liable for the overage. STUFF IT. Put in everything that will fit in the envelope. You may need to tape it shut. Don't be shy. Ask your own post master.

Big Grin My aunt did this for years and eventually they figured out not to send her "stuff". Took awhile but she really got a great deal of pleasure in it. Enjoy!! It's a great idea.

Hope everyone had a great (and safe 4th). I live in CA and the smoke from the fires is HEAVY -- those with asthma are struggling. Fortunately we aren't near the dangerous ones right now. Sad for everyone.

I want to ditto the wishes.
I also want to say a prayer for all our service men and women who have and are now serving in foreign lands. They are fighting under such horrific conditions.
WHEN WE HEAR THEY ARE ALL COMING HOME THAT WILL GIVE US REASON TO SET OFF THE BEST FORE WORKS EVER

Big GrinHave a great July 4th down there. Thanks Mar-Guess I can celebrate the 4th-Mom was born in Texas.I'll be there(at least in spirit)-LoVE cherry tomatoes-ours are growing but not ripe yet. Have to water them again tomorrow-they are in a hanging basket so dry quickly-at least the slug and snails can't get them(I hope) Have a safe and enjoyable day.Gypsy
