My mom's looking for some re-fastenable diapers for dad, in size 2X or larger. I thought I'd see if any of you knew of any place to get them. I've found a few sites that offer different kinds of diapers and undergarments but mom wants re-fastenable diapers to help with changing dad and all I've seen so far only go up to XL.
Thanx so much!

lantern, we aren't real strict (just a little bit) as long as it doesn't seem that you are profiting from product sales or the site. In fact we do compare brands and do share sites of supplies that work well for us. When you aren't real sure, you can PM the information to the member who needs it.
We can get very out of joint if something is 'spam' but we all need good tips and can't afford to waste a lot of money, so it is OK.
Not sure if this will help - I am new to all this. But for my dad, there are these male pads that are like female sanitary napkins but larger, that can be changed without removing underwear.
He uses two of them, and they get a soaking, but most often it does not get through to the outer "diaper" he also wears. Not sure if I can mention brand names here, but it's a major brand - I got them through the internet or at a medical supply store.

Bummer. We went through that, to an extent. Evil person that I am, I "stole" all her underwear so that she had no choice but to wear them. But men aren't quite as offended by the idea of going commando as the women tend to be.
I guess that she could duct tape them onto him. For us, at least, the point of the refastenables was more putting fresh ones on without removing her shoes and trousers.

http://www.woodburyproducts.com/catalog.htm This is who I used and they even sent me sample sizes as well as other samples to try. My mom used the CVS pull ups (son's discount) until she was having more accidents and like TORP I found the refastenables easier. I even had the extra inserts I used if we were going out to hold even more. The bedpads from them also worked a lot better then others I had tried. Hope this helps. I wish I could remember the girl who helped me. I had size issues the other way but mom was long so the smalls didn't quite work good.

I can't speak for your mom, but we've found the refastenables easier as well because we don't have to remove her shoes and slacks in order to freshen her up. Up until a few months ago, she was still occasionally tending to changes herself and was able to sit on the toilet and put a fresh diaper on. She couldn't do this when wearing depends because she couldn't reach her feet.
I was just wondering whether your mom wants the refastenable type because your father is such a big man? (I do find that all of these undergarments run a little on the small side-- my mom has about 36" hips, yet wears a Large).
The reason I was asking is that I hate the refastenable tape & velcro underware SO MUCH. Mom did wear them for quite a while when she was completely bedridden---and I did appreciate them at that time. But as long as she is able to even sit and stand a little bit, I opt for the pull-on style. They fit so much better, are more comfortable, and they are far easier to negotiate with a person who is still getting around!!
