For all beloved folks trying to figure out HOW the HECK to get this job done...I don't have an easy answer. I will say, you CAN find friends here. If someone seems to be on your page...Make friends. I do advise that you use caution exchanging any personal info, but there is help here.

I showed up 2 + 1/2 years ago afraid I had given my Mom a cold. Seems kind of funny now, but the thing is, you better have a sense of humor or it will be a whole lot harder, if not impossible to see this through.

There are options to getting the job done and there is history in this site to help you with whatever path you choose. It is just my advice, please take it or leave it, but read the threads of others. The questions and the posts that follow are full of helpful wisdom.

It does seem like there is an 800 lb gorilla there at every step of the way. From stopping dangerous behaviors like driving through dealing with incontinence, and on into a decision about hospice care...someone here has faced it and left behind a record of the feelings and the process.

I was having a major melt down last week because of my Mother's increasing decline. Friends here who have known me for a while stepped up to support me in PMs with comfort, wisdom and humor. I really don't know if I would have stayed sane without that help.

I urge you, make contacts, but do use caution. We are in a very vulnerable situation. Much like our Loved Ones. It also helps to greet new commers and lend a hand. It feels great to know that you can pass on even a tidbit that helps someone else.

Be seeing you all everyday that I can. Love you.
