Does anyone have any ideas or resources for me to check out for simple crafts that can be done with those with any kinds of dementia? The day care where mom goes to has asked me to do some with the people there and most of the crafts that I do cannot be done by those with dementia.

Bev, one thing that has been mentioned before is to make greeting "post cards" using index cards, glue (stick) pictures from magazines, write on a simple greeting, use "stamps" from easter seals or other pretty but not legal stamps. These can be given to nursing homes as mail for people who don't have many visiters.
Here are a few posts that have the idea of crafts in them, http://eldercare.infopop.cc/ev...rum_scope=5506016051 here is the search page with key word "activities". http://eldercare.infopop.cc/ev...&reqWords=activities I hope something clicks for you. Making collages from magazines, large piece puzzles, mazes, maybe you can find something useful. There are interesting ideas. Cutting out coupons is a simple activity that is also useful. * the crystal ball (*) is in the shop>>>> |
