I've just discovered the Elder Care site, and would like to say hello. I'm a 54-year-old man taking full-time care of my mom, who is 81 years old, blind and suffers from dementia. Needless to say, the blindness adds a whole new aspect to the situation. I look forward to reading the articles, posts and information available on this site.

Welcome Jake, Glad to meet you. Mom has macular degeneration and a cataract, but she can see some. Not sure just how well. I can just imagine some of the new tricks you have had to learn. Not sure I have seen many threads from that angle, but yours will be very interesting to read. Looking forward to knowing you.
