I'm P...ed Went to chemist yesterday to get my mothers tablets and things, account not paid for 3 months by Public Trustees office so Chemist said sorry can not give anymore credit until paid and he knows I dont pay the accounts, so I pay for the tablets $82.78 on my pension as a carer, which I will never see again from the public trust.

Then I come home from the chemist to have a phone call from the Newsagency to say mums paper account has not been paid for 2 mths and yes guess the public trust also pay this account and all the accounts, boy I'm really frothing at the mouth.

Mum pays these people $9,000 a year to manage her money thanks to my step sisters who keep taking me and mum to court, if it was you or I and it was our accountant we would have every right to check on recipts and cheques paid to people, but not the public trust as per the privacy act and mum haveing dementia.

now I have that off my chest I feel ready for my phone call to them on Monday.

Wen, I have heard about incidents where guardians are not what they are designed to be.They get a big fee for doing nothing.How dare your step sisters for doing this.
iT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU COULD MAKE THEIR TITLE HAVE MEANING AND STEP ALL OVER THEM.To have to deal with all this bull from family is unbelievaable.Then to be paid for raking this short time with mother.Wonder if they would do such if not being paid.Makeas you want to re arrange their face.At least that sounds good.

I am so very sorry for what you are going through Wen, really. Family can be the icing on a cake or the crap on the bottom of your shoe...*shaking head*
On the day of your dads funeral no less...just freakin lovely.
Wen have you consulted with an attorney about this? I dont know how your laws are over there but I would start there if you havent already.
This just burns me.
I hope that call to the agency has garnered you and your mum some attention... All too often this kind of thing happens here also Wen, your not alone believe me.
Other than this how are you and your mum coping?

THE COURT CANCELLED MY POWER OF ATTORNEY DUE TO A CONFLICT WITH MY STEP SISTERS WHO HAD NOT SEEN MUM AND DAD FOR 15 YEARS, WHEN DAD DIED HE HAD JUST WON A COMPENSTION PAYMENT FOR ASBESTOIS, ON THE DAY OF DADS FURNERL THEY LODGED PAPERS IN THIS STUPID GUARDIANSHIP ADMIN TRIBUNAL BOARD AND THEY CANCELLED EVERYTHING WITHIN 5 MINS.

Mum now has also been awarded a Adult Guardian as I was adviced by the Doctor to apply for Guardianship of Mum because of the dementia as she lives with me, but my step sisters counteracted on this so she now has the Adult Grardian, Who has spoken to myself and Mum only 3 times in 3 years and she is supposed to make decisions for my Mum.
The dont see mum at all only on Sundays they take her out for 1-2 hours thats it, and my step sister gets paid by the public trust office $30 a week for doing this. Mum is loosing money left right and center.

Oh What to do Dad would be turning in his grave.

You mean to tell me your Mom has no access to her own money for necessities Wen?!
Is this the courts doing or your sisters doing?
Im a little confused as to how they can possibly in good conscience deprive your own mom of whats rightfully hers! Boy I would be kickin someones butt right about now over this! And paying out $9000 a year?! Owww weee hand the checkbook back to you I say! You could do a better job of paying bills for free!
