hi i havent been around for a while..my mom was actually doing pretty good
but she has come down with a chest cold..had flu shots last monday..and friday was sick.
she has a history of asthma and pnemonia..neither have been a prob for 4 yrs..
and with alzheimers she doesnt tell me whats going on..i usually just know.
well the dr put her on vantin..and she now has diarreaha..cant spell it..lol
so he stopped the antibiotics..wth she needs something..plus my cat is sick..shes FIV..and im going completely crazy here..
why is it when a 94 yr old is sick..they just dont care anymore..if it was me..they would prescribe something else..

Forever Rainbows, I am sorry about your Mom's Asthma, whenever it hits but I know that during the holidays it is especially hard. I hope the new year brings you friendship and your Mom, better health. Hugs.

since the last time..she got better only to have her asthma hit before xmas..so i have been straight out with neb treatments and such..the dr put her on predinsone finally!!!
she seems ok some days and wheezes a bit more on tohers..but i am taking it one day at a time..

meantime 2 people i know..one who was 103 yrs old has died..she fell out of bed at the nursing home..such a shame..cause she had spunk too..
another woman who is 90..went out xmas eve and fell and broke her hip..they cant do anything for her.. no operation..dont know whats gonna happen..shes in horrific pain too.

and me well im hanging in there..i get angry..but mainly cause my mother is sick with her asthma..hasnt been in 4 yrs..
and i hope the new brings me someone who can share my friendship..seeing my best friend moved to Tenn...she was such a good help with my mom too..here everynite for 3 yrs to help get her to bed.

Glad to hear things are better and BOY can I validate how we simply move from one crisis to the next and everything just flows onward! Trying to play catch-up when you are already behind on a good day is a challenge! It might even be ab impossibility, not that that keeps many of us from trying anyway.
Take it one day at a time and easy does it - Christmas will take care of itself and we'll get what needs to be done accomplished as always.

i know it has been awhile..so wrapped up in her care..and i dont mind either..
she seems to be ok..a little bit on and off..but no reall bad congestion..me well i have had my brother come up from florida..he didnt stay here..which was great..lol

cause hes handicapped..i didnt need 2..plus the landlord had windows put in..omg what a mess..plus my heat wouldnt shut off..i mean thats not bad..but hell 90 degrees when its 20 outside is no fun eihter..it does seem like when it rains it pours..been so busy..i havent had time for xmas yet..i also did alot of old remedies too..doctors dont really beleive in them..but i was brought up with them..and they work..lol
so glad you guys are still here..i sure do need to pop in more often..

Hang in there, FR!! Nursing old folks with chest colds is tough! You have to treat watching her symptoms much like your cat - neither can tell you what's going on with them. Bless your heart!

I don't wanna say anything else about things comin' in threes 'cause you only said two... I HOPE you left something out so we can look forward to this being your share of EXTRA "above and beyond" for a while.

Well ya know its like that ole sayin goes "When it rains it pours" and its usually around holiday time when ya got enuff ta do right?!

Well thats when ya gotta get a lil Mama Bearish on them and kindly make them see things your way.
24 or 94 makes no nevermind to me when and if I ask for a pill to make mom all better, seeing things my way is the only way their makin it out of that exam room in one piece
