Hi i talked with her neurologist..he said its called myaclonis and comes with alzhemiers alot..also because she is sleeping more and more too..but if things get worse to bring her in..she was fine today just did it once when she was sleeping in the chair..he can also give her something..but she is on meds now and he doesnt want to go that root unless we have to..
they make her more sleepy..so he said if it gets uncontrollable he will prescribe something.
well so glad he took the time to explain..one of the few docs i have met who does this..lol

Hiya, FR! Well, I wuz gonna say that "jumping" as in startling easily is part of it, but what you describe sounds more serious. Sounds a little like some kind of mild seizure or sumthin'... I think runnin' this by the neurologist is a real good idea. Hopefully, it's something they can fix. Smile

So glad to hear you have some assistance with which you feel more comfortable. Having the "right" people around can make a HUGE difference... Wink

Lettuce know what the neuro doc says... Got my fingers crossed! Smile

Fr when you refer to jumping what exactly do you mean? Is she mobile and jumping or are her muscles "jumping"? Or is it more like a "stutter" Like shes walking and it appears to be like jumping??? If its the latter yes it is part of this. The mind is going slow but the memory of walking is pushing her forward..I wish I had a better way to explain this but I think you will get my meaning...
Its kinda like when an amputee patient dreams their walking and sometimes they get up still in a sleep haze and get outta bed only to fall on their butt...(been there done that! I had a couple of folks like that) you can even witness the act of walking in their sleep. Their pictures are still intact but the full memory of the situation isnt at that moment so they just go....For lack of a better word I just call this "stuttering"... Roll Eyes Wink
Im glad that you finally got someone worth their salt though! Kudos baby Smile
