i have been cleaning alot..i mean alot..lol.i have tried to think of everything thats different..i dont go out much except to buy food..so theres nothing new here..this started as soon as the heat went on..thats all i can come up with..the complex changed from oil to gas again..they go back and forth..she doesnt tell me..her alzheimers is advanced..but where shes 95..they dont care anymore..we have even had articles in the paper about how they are withholding antibiotics for elderly alzheimers patients who are advanced..and giving them tylenol for there pnemonia..
we have popcorn ceilings too..and they are the pits to clean..i have been looking for a new place..this one is getting too big for me..but with her sick i am exhausted..
i have spent the last hour crying and feeling sorry for myself..even asked god to take her..i hate the way the medical profession treats her..
she does have advair..but i dont know hoew much she actually gets..i have to hold her nose and click it with my other hand

Im thinking of a list of things that trigger my asthma
Paint
Spray aerosols/chemicals
Hairspray automotive cleaners such as brake clean carb cleaners WD40
Spray cleaners, Super clean, Purple power. off brand cleaners, carpet deodorizers,
Detergents Tide with the new scents as well as others I cant even think of their all new on the market.
Perfumes and colognes with strong scents/floral notes soaps liquid and bar form shampoo and conditioners talcum powder.
Building materials a huge no no for us Particle board it emits a chemical into the air that can trigger attacks never cut or sand it in the presence of a sufferer.
Certain spices strong cooking odors
Heres one for the books that I suffer with
Pop corn ceilings Good god I cant get away from this stuff fast enough and heaven forbid Im in a home that has been freshly sprayed.
Some carpet adhesives, pretty much anything with a chemical odor will trigger me.

FR whats triggering these attacks?
There is ALWAYS a trigger I never listen to doctors on asthma especially mine If she is waking up in the middle of the night in a full blown attack she is as serious as I am.
Please go over everything she eats (how much she eats this is extremely important) if she is eating full course meals at night lessen the portion sizes.
Something that always helps me after an attack is to drink coffee then ice water directly after keep doing it until both are consumed.
Rugs in the home, is there any? Try getting them steam cleaned during warmer days and make sure they are very dry I would even go as far to say hire a company their machines are alot better at sucking most of the moisture out.
Clutter, get it out and clean up, this is a real bad thing to have around a person with asthma dust mold and skin cells collect and every time something is moved around it gets in the air and irritates asthma suffers. My Moms house was one place I couldnt stay at very long because of all the clutter and dust.
Wintertime and spring are the worst months for us because of the dampness and mold then of course theres the pollen.
Have you painted recently? Is there a smoker in the home?
Every chance you get air the home out.
Doing all of these things will lessen the severity of these attacks.
If it kicks into Bronchitis always have her lying in a semi fowlers position to help her breath better.
Ask your mom if she knows when one is coming on when shes awake, for me it starts to feel as if someones sitting on my chest way before the attack comes on, if I miss that symptom for any reason my cheeks start getting flushed/hot and I get a prickly feeling. As soon as this occurs give her 2 puffs of Albuterol if thats what she takes. Wink
