and not very important in the scheme of the posts on here, BUT it's driving me NUTZ! So let me rant and I'll feel better when I'm done. Smile

She flippin' HIDES stuff! Important stuff of MINE and my daughter's. Claims it's "clutter" though how she determines clutter is beyond me when she has something like 600 Beanie Babies filling the closet in one room! Tonight it's my daughter's school pictures. I cut them apart Saturday to mail some out to my husband's family in Canada and put the rest back in the envelope for later---like Christmas. Tonight my daughter wanted some to take to school and they are nowhere to be found. Aaaaaack!

I'm also looking for the very expensive kitchen scissors--- but I found an out of date Dell ad---in the frig! My daughter's missing a vocabulary list she needs for a test but we've got a whole closet full of insurance information from the days when my mom sold AFLAC---10 years ago.

It's all no big deal. Just let me bat my head against the wall for a few minutes...

I agree, put locks on your bedroom doors. Where does your daughter put her schoolbag when she gets home? Does your mother ever go into her schoolbag? What about our purse?

Hi Debbie...

I so understand where you are coming from. My dad doesn't hide it, he throws it away. I had ordered a piece for my glasses and the box arrived, he didn't open it, just tossed it.

So now I have a lock on the mailbox and any deliveries that come are placed in my office which he does not go into at all/

I am so sorry for your daughter, that is tough when the homework papers are "misplaced".

I guess I recommend looking for trends in the hiding places so you can search there first...and know youa re not alone and can always rant in here!

Debbie, this IS a big deal, her school pictures!! I sure do hope you find them.

You AND your daughter need to be able to lock your rooms and keep all of your personal possessions safely away from her. Maybe even in the trunk of your car. What a pain in the butt. The safety issue is huge, but I know you are also very concerned about your daughter's reaction to all of this. Even the greatest kid in the world has rightful concerns about privacy and MY stuff.

Since this is all going on at your Mother's home, I realize the dilemma, but at least use the trunk of your car for your daughter.

Honey take care. You don't have time for a concussion right now. Hugs

Oh baby you need a hug! I can tell you everyone here will give you advice on this matter its time to lock EVERYTHING away. I had locks on every dang door in this house AND THE PANTRY! Look out the food is the next thing to lock up otherwise your gonna be feelin like your in that kids fairytale about followin the breadcrumbs thru the forest! Eek
Keep her busy tearing up junk mail meanwhile all schoolwork bills *important stuff* gets locked away from her and please remove sharps dont take anymore chances sweetie this can get dangerous!
Heres a thread to read we started earlier this year:

Start on this list sweetie Im sure when your done you can add some pointers to that thread when your done its a work in progress so if you come up with a nifty idea or you find mom doing something not listed in there post it and your solution it will help others that are just starting out Wink
