This is trhe place to come for support and information. Can you give aus a little more information about your father-in-law? Is he taking any medication currently? Has he been evaluated by a neurologist? I will post a web site that will tell you a lot about Lewy Body Disease. LBD

Hi Linda,7th child. Mom has not been diagosed yet with dementia, but we are seeing a lot of signs of it. Dad being the strong person he is at 89 does not want to discuss moms condition with us at the moment, thinks he can handle it. Working on ways to get him info he needs without upsetting him, dont want him to shut us completely out. My posts are also in THE LESS COMMON DEMENTIA FORUM, you will find that everyone on here is great at listening and giving advise,Im so very glad I found this site. Hang in there, and go to the sites for info that you will be given on here and it will help to find out causes, symptoms, progressions and ways to deal with loved ones who have dementia. Our biggest problem right now with mom is dad,but Im working on that> Take care ,little jo
Been so busy haven't had time to write. Well, Mom has lost 13 pounds since May. She went through a spell of not eating. Just last week she thought the police had arrested her for stealing and that my brother had to get her out of jail. No matter what we said to her she was just darn sure she had been in jail. Thinks none fo her kids visit her (one goes each week to see her) she lives 300 mile away from most of us. This is the hardest thing I think I've ever had to deal with my Mom. Whew!!!
Welcome to the forum. Lewy Body Desease is a less common form of dementia. Here is a web site that will give you some idea of what to expect. Lewy Body Disease Keep posting and let us get to know you a little better.

Hi Linda and welcome!!!! It's always nice when someone new posts and doesn't lurk. This board has been a lifeline for me.I have to check it everyday to find out how all my friends are doing, or to vent my frustrations with caregiving in a safe place where I am not judged. I've made many very good friends here and everyone is quick to offer advice and comfort when you need it. As some of the others have said before...post more and let us get to know you!! We laugh and cry together here.
