She passed this evening at about 6:00, in the arms of her loving daughter, Stella. How blessed their union was and will always be.

Love and eternal peace to my dear friend, Stella and her Mom.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of
quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there . I do not sleep.

Anonymous Northwest Indian Prayer

*chuckle* Thanks, Angel, but don't worry about the "awkward" question - you are not the first to ask and won't be the last! Wink I tell folks that Mom is doing GREAT now that she passed on. Smile Her presence here is sorely missed, but her spirit is healthy and free.

I wish I had seen this before I replied to your post and asked "how is your mom". I realize the REAL answer is ...."she is better now"...however, I know that is not always appropriate unless you know what I mean. She isnt suffering anymore but who really wants to hear that? Sometimes I hate the 'fluff' talk and just want genuine people. You are genuinely a blessing to this earth.

Dear Stella-

I am so sorry to read of the loss of your lovely, and well-loved, mother. With her kind and twinkly eyes and that big, beautiful smile, I can imagine that she inspired great love in people. Surely she did in you, an inspiring, dedicated, most amazing daughter.

Fortunate were you both to have the other.

So much could be said but... perhaps the best I can do is offer a no time limit hug. ((((Stella))))

My prayers for your mother, for you ,and all your loved ones who were blessed to know Frances.

There is a beautiful rendition of this poem on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxawiWqf4gA
I liked it so much I posted it on my facebook page. It brings me comfort when I think of my mom who died in August. Be strong.

Dear Stella,
For some reason I dropped in here tonight to see how you and Mae and others were doing. It's been a long time.
So your beautiful mother made it to her 90th birthday under your loving care, congratulations.
She was born the same year as my mom, who passed in July 2005.
I know you will be sighing, speaking her name aloud and weeping, partway out of this world with her for some time. It's so hard to let go when they have become like one of your babies. She's newborn now to God.
I haven't forgotten your fantastic care of all of us here on the forum. Thank You So Much for your wonderful way with words.
I will add Frances to my prayers.
Huge Hugs to You Stella!
Sandi

Stella, I am thinking of you now. I love the picture of your Mom, she was a beautiful woman. As she soars with the Angels, I pray for you that you will find the peace you need in your heart. You were a wonderful daughter to her and should have nary a guiltful feeling.

I am here, behind the scenes, thinking of you and everyone else here that I love. Take care honey and be very kind to yourself.

The picture of your mom is beautiful...what a wonderful smile on her face....and I'm sure she has that smile now. I am so sorry for your loss...you have given me advice and offered comfort to me in recent weeks...I wish I could offer more than my thoughts and prayers...you have both. Peace to you in this time.

Oh Stella, After all these years, now is your time. For so long many have prepared for this day, but it always seems to come unexpectedly. The transition has always been anticipated but now it's here. Bless you for the challenges you have overcome, and bless you for making your Mom's difficult journey all the more peaceful.

So I'm finally alone and came here to post and I see that my wonderful friends have already been caring for me and mine. I am truly humbled and blessed.

The angels rejoice and my heart soars like a hawk...
She was my heart and my soul and my best friend. It has been my privilege to serve her the past 8 years of her life.
I hope you will all raise a glass to an incredible woman whose spirit has been freed and whose loving energy will never die.
