Not sure where to post this.
My Mom passed last night March 25 at 11:02 pm
She was home with me & my husband. She was peaceful, but her last days were very painful.
My heart feels like it has been ripped out
I just am lost, and so sad.
can't bear it

BC, you have such a way with words!

"Don't count the days; make the days count."

That's going on all my stuff from now on.
Thank you so much.

grandmallie, I am sorry for your loss, and especially so for the loss faced by your FIL. Yes , you need to accept things you cannot change, but no one knows about tomorrow. We thought the same about our mother 7 years ago when our father died, but instead of counting days, we just learned to make days count. Mom is now 94. No way to know how many days, but I hope you can help them be good ones no matter the number. Please accept my condolences for you, your husband and your FIL.

we to lost our mom, my MIL this past Sunday, she had been in the hospital for 6 weeks, the nursing home before that, and had alot going on, but as John Cameron Swazey said she was like a Timex, took a licken and kept on tickin.
It is both a blessing and a loss, especially for my FIL she was his life they were together for 60+years,we doubt he will make it a year without her, he cant take care of himself and we live an hour away and he has a son who lives in the house with him who does nothing for him.
We grieve for her, but grieve more for what the future holds,we have to accept the things we cannot change

Thank you all so much for you kind words. Please know how deeply appreciated they are.
We had the Memorial on Monday. It was lovely...
for those who know me & my history...There were NO family dynamics!!! YEAH
My Mom would be proud.
Now comes the even harder part I think. I am void. Numb? Even to the point that when I took my daughter to the airport yesterday a.m., I got lost on the way back??????
The sad thing is that my one brother (who liked to drink) had not looked good latley, had lost 30+ lbs, and I was so worried, well, we had to call 911 Momday evening(same day as Memorial)
He is in hospital, they have found "masses" and "spots" on his liver & lungs. Biospys etc.
Please pray for him. He has no one but me who will take care of hime.
I'm not so sure I believe the saying about God not putting too much on your plate....off to the hospital...with love to you all for your kindness
Sandra

Sandranne, hugs to you and your family.
Know that you did your very best for her, and remember that even if she no longer answers back when you have a question, you can always hear her voice in your heart.
