I realize that not all of us share the same spiritual beliefs, but I found something I thought was too comforting not to share.
Every church on my way to work has an "inspirational board". Last week one of them said

ADAM BIT THE APPLE
EVE BLAMED THE SNAKE
SNAKE HAD NO LEG TO STAND ON

This week there's something I thought very appropriate for all of us who are caregiving with little to no help from all the other family members (or anyone else, for that matter!) I know there's times when we all wonder why we do what we do.

OTHERS SEE WHAT WE DO. GOD KNOWS WHY WE DO IT.

Donswife and everyone. I appreciate all of you thinking of me. sometimes I just peek in and not sign in. I always like all the replys and thoughts.
Today I got mad at the union. It has been over 2 weeks since Manuel passed and they have known but still nothing in the mail regarding the information they require for me to receive the pension check. The girl told me before she had 12 claims and I would JUST HAVE TO WAIT. I am not a patient person. Oh well My son says we will be alright but darn it what if I didn't have other resources? What would happen to someone else during this waiting time? How would they live? I was management for over 25 years and the one thing I prided myself for was never loosing the face of the customer who needed there service on. Well enough ranting. I am not taking Elavil the doctor gave me for the depression. I would rather get angry or cry and work through this. I am going to visit family Friday for lunch should be a nice break.
Donswife, I haven't heard from my step-daughter either. My Step-son called to see how I was doing and if I needed anything but she hasn't. Oh well maybe she can't do it yet. sometimes it is easier to hide away then face the fact her Pop is gone.

You've heard NOTHING???. I was so hoping you'ld get a weeping cherry tree out of this, but if they are out of your life, that could be good too.

I knew it didn't seem quite right, but I also knew every one of you would get the point.
I haven't heard ANYTHING from the wicked stepdaughter or any of her children. Two of the 3 granddaughters came to the gathering on 5/26; the youngest hasn't bothered to do anything. I am counting my blessings - at this point, silence really IS golden!
