Hello All,
It is very difficult to fathom anything about the behavior pattern of my mother. We had this function organized at our house and we were really concerned about her. Especially the way she would behave with all those people around. But, to our astonishment, she remained calm and most part of the day she slept.
We were surprised.

SemperFi, your thoughts to Sanju touch my heart. How very blessed we are to have each other and can express things that go around the world with a touch of a key. What would our caregiving days be like without "The ElderCare Forum"? Thank's again for your well said words.

Hello Sanju, my friend...
I'm so glad to see you posting again albeit under difficult circumstances.
Sanju, there is an old hymn that we used to sing in church called "Farther Along". One of the lines says "Farther along we'll know all about it, farther along we'll understand why." Basically it tellw us that here on earth there will be many things we won't understand, but in Heaven we will have all the answers to our questions "why?"
Reading of your Mother's unexplained and unexpected peaceful behavior during your gathering reminded me of that old hymn! And how often I have had the same thoughts of why my Dad has acted one way or the other!!!
Sanju, wouldn't it be wonderful if we could know what was going on in their minds? How helpful it would be if they could tell us their feelings about certain situations. In the past, did your Mother enjoy gatherings such as the one you and your wife had at your home? Could it be she was reminded of a happy time in her past? If we could only know the answer!!
I'm glad things turned out well for you. Keep us posted Smile
