My parents have a microwave with one of those touch sensitive keypads (if that makes any sense). It doesn't have any raised buttons. It was a gift from my brother. My dad particularly has trouble with pressing the buttons, due to arthiritis in his joints. I was just wondering if there was any way to make the keypads easier for either of them to press, without having to buy a new microwave or anything.
Mods - If you need to move this feel free.
Thanx all for any ideas!

You can also do a search for independent living aids and look under sight aids or fne motor aids. That may help. I had to do similar, but for sight reasons for my mother.

I don't know, but if I were you, I would check with the "Sight" society in your area, or talk to an Occupational Therapist. I know my auntie has macular degeneration, and they had to do something similar with her washer and drier to keep her independent at home. Little sticky velcro or protective pads with sticky on the back might work, at least raise them - but then you couldn't see the numbers, etc. Like I said, I'd call the sight society or an OT at a hospital or therapy clinic. Good luck.
