Actually this year, things stayed low key, and went pretty smoothly. But I know some of you can't say the same. Time to vent. Let it go and maybe it won't carry over to the New Year. Let's hear ya.

Well, I got a card from the evil princess stepdaughter's daughter, but that was it. I found some old OLD pictures of Don that I copied and mailed to her, but really didn't expect a response. And was not disappointed.
I did get a call from the finance company that alerted me to the fact that EPS has missed a payment or 2. Mar, I'm hungry! What is a traditional British meal for Christmas? (My family doesn't follow "Traditional ___________ Meals". Our tradition is to try something new for the main course. Even if it flops, there's always a cheese & meat tray, chips and dip and cookies and other sweets to fall back on. But like you, I'm through trying to maintain contact. They know where I live, they know my phone number, and they are the ones that have to make the next move. |

No word from mother's son at all, not even a card or a call. I sent his 2 daugheters a check that wasn't cashed and did leave a voice mail Christmas Eve wishing everyone a merry christmas. That is the last time I will try to have contact. He doesn't want it so I will not push. My door is open if he chooses in the future.
My son and I did have a very nice day and I had lots of calls from friends, 3 even invited us to dinner but I like to stay home and cook my traditional British meal, and my cousin in Calif called. Dan got me a ipod nano, pink and loaded some songs. Once I clean this room and have room on my desk I'll download more. SO how was everyone elses day? I of course did miss my mom, dad and Doug but got through it. |
