Today it was only misting, so Hair got done. Plus another team member (a good one) has car repair bills and wanted to work extra. Called to volunteer for this night so I came home. I have only flyby and shopping duties for several days. H is on the road to night. Taking what is offered. CG situation can change in a heart beat.

Last week I had to buy her a new washer ( hers went out and because of the drought, I could not keep bringing her wash to my house. I am on a well, did it a few times, but could not keep it up). Then her TV acted up. I broke the 15 year old cable cord, while trying to move the Kitchen TV to her room.

Bro dropped by, noticed the problems, called me to ask if there was anything he missed, and fixed all the TV issues. I am still in La La Land. A problem was dealt with and I had nothing to do with it.

I really am cringing for the back lash. , But trying hard to just make the best of it.

Mom is starting to have trouble with words sometimes. I am trying to figure out if there is a pattern to this. There are not signs of stroke. Just seems to be when she is tired. But today she was rather perky (surprising after 3 cloudy rainy days). I could still see her struggle a bit and then decide on a sustitute word. Close but not a cigar.

Some of you know I recently quit smoking cold turkey. This past week, put me to the test. I am now past 4 weeks, and if this (appliances, maintanence, ECO freakout) did not do me in, I think I got it licked.

I am so glad there are no cigs in the house, no secret stash. DARN I want one.It has been a very hard 10 days. Thanks, I just needed to vent. No reply nescessary.

dochka, i am very proud of you for being down to half pack. those who have never been there don't realize how good that is that is from 40 cigs a day to 10. good girl! it all makes a difference. same here. it is hard. my son wants me to quit but he isn't willing to put up with my nastiness when i try. just excuses for me. i only smoke outside and as i get older i get colder so maybe i will give up when my buns freeze.

I'm still doing the weaning method which the that website doesn't accept. I'm down to about a half pack a day. Seems like alot to most but through the many, many years I've gone from 2 packs, 1 pack and now 10 or so cigs. I'm trying not to be hard on myself because I never wanted to quit at all!

BC Hang in there dear. I know how hard it is but try not to go back to those cancer sticks. PLEASE!!! I remember how hard it was when my mom's first cg left. I was devistated but soon I was able to relate to the second one that came around. It's in a way kind of like loosing a family member. Take care and remember I love you.

Today, I need all the support I can get. Close to 6 weeks, no cigs, but really bad news about a CG team member leaving. She has taught me so much, I only hope it sticks, She doesn't smoke so I don't need to start back on her account.

This really hurts,,,,, Moving on

I will be honest about this. I haven't found anything else that cuts through the garbage (smoke) like this does. you read and read, and read.... when you are ready, you do it.

I read, and read, and read some more, and one day it was right. I will never smoke again. I know that is the truth. The day before, the moment before, I did not know. I looked at that cig, and knew I was not saying goodbye to an old friend, but to an enemy stabbing me in the back. Not my friend, For me cold turkey was the way.

DOCHKA, It was a truely wierd moment. It was a long time before this that I thought about it. Thought, and thought, and one day I just didn't get more. Yes I still want one at times. Habit. I have no secret, and it is not an easy thing.

http://www.whyquit.com/

The info here helped me figure "cold turkey" was right for me.
Plus my SIL(this one , I really love) was trying Chantrix (whatever) she was quoting me the side affects, OMG, hot flashes, mood swings, What the he** is left?? Why not go cold turkey and be done with it.??

Honey, I did this and I did that, then Suddenly I snuffed out the last one. People talk about how they will plan it, but That wasn't how it was for me. I looked at that cig in my hand and I KNEW that was it. I was 4 weeks Tus. I will tell you truely. Morning Coffee is a killer. Driving in the car is a killer.

This is the facts. I will not smoke another cancer stick ever, forever, the end.

Please check that site.

http://www.whyquit.com/ It is truely bizarre

It just happened. I saw the last cig in my hand and knew it for what it was. THE LAST ONE.

What's your secret on the quit smoking? I try and try but can't do it. I'm trying to wean myself by only allowing so many per day but I had a mini meltdown and it got shot to h@ll.
I figure if I keep trying at least that's something.
Keep it up!
