This is a small Canadian film I took myself to see about a women who gets AD and what happens w/her husband. Some of it was so spot-on it could have been filmed in our house. I thought it was well done, picking up many details of what happens, but like all other AD movies, it was somewhat sanitized. It especially addresses what happens to those of us spoouses left behind. Most people in the audience were alone and not a sound was heard throughout. But I did see red eyes as I left. My husband has been gone 4 yrs and I couldn't think of anyone I wanted to go with who would understand, so whether or not you see it will depend on how you feel about where you are in your own personal AD journey. If anyone has seen it, I'd like to hear your comments.

Whew! Betty, I don't think I'm ready for this one. The reviews were good and I generally would like a movie like this once in a while---but as you mentioned, I'm just not in the right spot these days to be viewing a movie like that. I think it could actually cause me to lose my mind...(is that even possible?)
Anyway, I look forward to the day when I'll be in a better state and can enjoy such a poignant story from a "safe" distance Thanks for mentioning it _________________________________________________________________ "For us, there is only the trying. The rest is not our business." ~~~T.S. Eliot |
