something happened the other night that has me scared to death. i passed out hard on the kitchen tile. my H heard me hit the deck and came to find out what happened. i really have no memory of it. i do know that when i came to i had ablsolutely no ability to navigate in a straight path, i was bouncing off the counters like a pinball. i would aim frontwards and could only stagger in cirles. i have had a fierce headache since then and don't seem to have any mental confusion, but it scared me. has anyone ever heard of this before. i have passed out on numerous occassions and have been through every test in the book. it was chalked up to low blood pressure but this was different. opinions are welcome.

Please Hap, You have talked of a number of medical issues, that you have dealt with and are used to, and you say this was different. Answer me this...If it were your husband or your son, would you allow them NOT to be checked out???

I don't want to be scary about this, and I know it is a huge hassle to go with one more thing to the DR, but every thing I think of requires medical intervention. BG mentioned ear infection, you were just swimming at the lake, right. That would be the simplest thing to deal with. I can think of at least 3 other things, that I won't even name.

Please get checked out

Hap, go to the ER and get checked out. There are many things which can cause this, but self-diagnosis is not a good option. Let us know what the docs say. {{{HUGS}}}

Hap could you possibly have an inner ear infection? It sounds a little like when I go through bouts of vertigo if its really bad I feel like passing out too. But yes it could be a drop in pressure too but do have your ears checked while your at it Wink

i didn't it my head when i went down. so i know i don't have a concussion. i guess my big worries are why, the continued severe headaches and what to do about daisy. my H is great with her but he is only here part time. i don't want to doom her to an NH alz unit if it is something temporary or a fluke. i haven't been able to get food to go down and have lost 10 lbs. during my vacation and return. i have always had low blood pressure so standing quickly has been a problem i have learned to work around. doc says there is nothing to be done about that except to eat a lot of salt. just a little scared for daisy's future.

ARE YOU EATING PROPERLY? Are you drinking enough to prevent dehydration? What were you doing during the day - in and out and in and out of the AC house? Depending on the heat & humidity outside, that will do it for me sometimes. Fortunately, I've never hit my head when I've keeled over.
Christine is right - I'd check with my doctor if I were you. Just as a precaution - if s/he thinks you need medical attention, you'll be directed to the ER.
Please take care of yourself, and let us know what's what!

Happy, you need to see your dr. that is not good. I thought maybe low blood pressure... did you take your blood pressure after the black out?? Did you just get up from a sitting position?? You probably have a mild concussion.
See a doctor!! Do you have hypoglycemia?
