Thank you for all you good wishes.

The birthday boy is still "on". Is walking since 5:00AM and hiding things. Had another slice of cake in his breakfast.

A huge and slow tropical wave is sending buckets of rain to the south part of the Island. Hope it won't develop to a depression over the Island.

Go Hokies, 20-17. for Roberto's birthday. I don't always care much about the scores, but when Dad was failing, it was so important to him, and I can only imagine how much it meant to Roberto to watch his team win on his birthday.

with cake

Roberto is 79 years old today.

Already has a big slice of cake... and for the first time I gave him his spoon and he refused it. He just opened his mouth. Was clear he wanted to be feeded. After trying this "new thing" he changed his mind and took the spoon. Then we arrived to a happy medium, I put the food in the spoon and he took it from the dish.

He watched the whole VT football game and few times told me "It's mine". The game or the team or both where his. Good birthday day.

Hi There!
I am not writing as usual.., a combination of problems with the PC and that ny H isn't feeling well. I sneezing a lot and didn't wanted to get up on Friday. It was a big scare. He was staring at the ceiling and didn't focused on anything and didn't wanted anything to eat or drink until mid morning. I was consulting to VA personnel and when they decided to send and ambulance he arose from bed so there was a change in plans. He spent almost all day yesterday in bed but today is walking a little more but isn't hiding his favorite things. Is still sneezing a lot.

Then, I was making arraigments to pay the last part of the money to the exwife and the boyfriend that was "helping" her to force my H to keep sending alimony for life, to have her as a lover but without any financial responsibilities, died suddenly on Friday.
What a way to end his part in this nightmare...

Thanks Bobcat.

I concluded this is some kind of allergy. After been taking the strongest antibiotics and whatever else exists for coughing it don't stop. We have enough desert dust and pollen in the air to think those are the real problem.

Diana, I hope this time you get some real help. We call that "walking pneumonia". People can feel really bad, but not bad enough to complain strongly, and they keep going, working. Maybe now you can get some relief.

My brother (severe depression and alcoholism before he died) used to break things. I would go by to check on him and things would be thrown out into the yard. He asked me to take some things home with me to keep for him, (from him). I am so sorry that things that represent your travels, the good days are so vulnerable and must be kept out of sight and reach.

I think of you often. Please get back in touch soon,

Feeling better... at last the doctor told me he thought it was (or it is) neumonia.
I didn't needed a doctor to knew something was really bad, but without a proper diagnosis (nad thinking it was a cold) I kept working and going out almost everyday.
Changed all the meds again. Hope this time they will work. I need to do my hair!!!!!!!!!!!

Diana, I'm just catching up on some posts. I hope you are feeling better dear. It is so hard to be sick and be a caregiver as you know. I know also about our love ones breaking things and all that. I've had things put away for years because of my mom. It's so hard to have to pack up stuff. I had the live in also break things. It was weird this Christmas to put out my grandmother's nativity that my mom adored but had not been out in the last 9 years. Of course it ended up behind glass because of the kitten (who has been fixed now as well as declawed). I wish I could be there to make you some chicken soup as well as let you sleep. Let us know how you are OK?

Got another bunch of meds today, even one that reads that can cause drowsiness and should be taken before bed, but I was coughing so much that as soon as I arrived at home I took the dose, and guess what, I am perfectly awake. Not a sign of drowsiness. That's good, very good!

Hi everyone. Still coughing but taking some time to say hello and VENT. This morning I am tired and angry.

Don't know how I would may get rid of this asthma without sleeping and mopping urine. H wait until the aids ended their hours to wet the floors and his "best" time is at 3:00am. I can't stay in bed and let him be. He may slip in the water and hurt himself and I can't sleep with him walking and hearing noises when he is moving things from the living room to the kitchen or to the bathroom.

Last night he broke a small flute that I brought in Salzburg. It wasn't that easy to broke. He must hit it hard. If I don't ran to check what he was doing he almost broke an ashtray we buy in Vienna. Those were in a drawer and irreplaceable.

Is obvious that I can't live as a normal human being. I am living as a nomad or as a refugee from a disaster. Bare walls bare shelves and a lot of old and ugly and broken furniture that I can't change because the few times I tried he drove me crazy asking for them.

We even need a new TV and I can't buy one. With these new light units he may break it too. (And I refuse to buy a regular one because I do want a flat one, and I can't allow him to be ruling my life or my tastes.)

There are no hinges or nails enough strong or tricky enough for him. Our TV is heavy and no matter he tried he can't move it. Well, he can, he did moved it but not too much.

Got to go. Need to clip his nails (if he allows me) and go to work.

Rainbows are always so beautiful!
I just wish the weather preceeding them wasn't the kind that makes so many people sick.

The other photo is a mountain from my hometown, this one is from my balcony, in the middle of San Juan. This is a crowded Island. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k284/Naufrage/2007-05-25.jpg

Wow, that is beautiful. I really don't know what to expect from the island. I'll have to start checking the weather there more often.

Mom's CGs rarely pester me, but Mom isn't so difficult. H and I are less than a year apart in age. The thought of caring for him in such circumstances is daunting at best. While no one knows what the future brings, it is so encouraging to know what can be done when someone is determined like you are. Thanks Diana.
