Apparently my neighbor watched us struggle to load Dad in the van for his doctor's appointment Monday.

Yesterday she came over, introduced herself (no, we had never met or spoken prior to this), and told me that her sister and brother-in-law have an older van with a wheelchair lift that they no longer use since their LO has passed on. I told her I would certainly be interested in looking at it if it was priced low enough. She said no, you don't understand. We want to give it to you, since we have no use for it.

As of today, I am the owner of a 1988 Ford van with a working wheelchair lift. Bless these people. Their only request was that if it is still operational when I am done needing it, I should pass it along to someone else who needs it.

How wonderful people can be - especially those whose hearts are big enough to reach out to a stranger in need. Of course, that's the type of person it takes to care for someone full time.

Holy Cow! Are there really people like this in the world? No one helps me. No one will ever help me. I help myself. Thank heavens for fine people like this, you lucky dog.

Imagine if everyone in this world thought the same way. There wouldn't be any selfishness, greed or hunger.

Jesus Christ said it best, "If you do something good, then do not expect anything in return".
