mae, i know what you mean about a taste of freedom. it is hard to go back to the walls. some people have no idea where to even begin to look for help. all advice is appreciated as some have said they had absolutely no help. this is something many have no idea where to start. thanks to all for the help.

I get my home health care thru the week through the VA.That can do other household duties but I never called for such.
If you can get help, try to get away from the house for the amount of time possible. It makes such a difference.Go sit some place and have a good coffee or just do something you want to do when you do not have the chance.Everyone needs time away.Just to gather you thoughts .
I do have the volunteer tomorrow. She has agreed to saty with me.I have not been out since the day hubby came home.I may not go far but just being able to turn my hubbies well being over to someone else is welcome.
Frankly, I am running out of things to do to keep me from feeling trapped.I have had someone 2 days , 3 1/2 hours for 2 years. Now it is in limbo.I was given a big taste of honey and then it became sour milk, lol Eek

Good news, Mumbo, I am glad you will be able to leave the house, or even stay home and be off duty. Hope it works out.

A social worker at the hospital my husband was in put us in touch with Gould Homecare. There are a number of steps to go through and it has taken about 3 months but starting this coming Monday, my H will have an aide 3 times a week for 2 hours a day. H is not as thrilled as I am but he understands I need the help and a stress free break now and then. I'll let you know how it works out.
