I am looking into going to a new agency for home care for my dad. One agency that I spoke with said that their people are all certified CNAs or HHAs. Can someone explain what these titles mean?

I had to have training from the state of Texas to become a certified nursing assistant we are licensend.
Unless you took the training you could not work as a CNA still can't...

Make sure they are Medicare approved, too.
This way the charges will be covered.

Ok CNA stands for Certified Nurses Asst. HHA stands for Home Health Aide
Here CNA HHA can do Hospice work our duties are expanded more than just a straight CNA.
A regular NA (nurses asst.) is just an off the street hire that may or may not have any training (lol or think they do) I had one tell me once you couldnt aspirate on water Oh and she wasnt quite sure what aspirate meant
Go with the Co. that has CNA/HHA's
We are also required to take CPR/First aid classes. Regular TB tests are mandatory for us.
