Just wanted to give yall an update on the situation with dad, mom and us kids.

Dad's not happy of course in the NH (he'd rather be home) but he makes the most of it. The nurses say he walks a lot and enjoys some of the activities. Plus he likes the food, and his roommate is so friendly. Mom visited him twice recently - she goes every 3 days or so - and both times he was in his right mind for a (pleasant) change. That is so encouraging.
He may have cataract surgery on his eyes, it'll depend on if the insurance covers it and so on. He's getting meds now for macular degeneration, as well as his other stuff.

Mom is starting to not like being alone, cuz dad is doing so well. But she knows if he was still with her she'd be stressed out and in a lot worse shape like before. Her dr. said she looks a lot better, not like she's withered and such. Mom had to have an abcessed tooth pulled which caused her to take meds (like Oxycodone) and antibiotics, which in turn made her feel woozy and "spacey." She's ok now tho. Smile

We kids had to sign papers giving the deed to the land back to mom & dad. We are keeping the mineral rights tho and less than 5 acres of property. We told mom that in our hearts, we know the land is ours.

so all in all, things are going pretty good!

Love & prayers, Lynda
