Those of us the have been diagnosed with AD or Dementia, life is not over for us by a long shot.It just depends on how you face it & accept it & go on with life. That's what I did,as many of us have done.Life is too short to worry, life is for the living & i'm living.........

Dear Snowylynne,

I saw this quote and thought of you. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

I'm sure I'm infringing on about 47 copyrights, but I'm not selling this material - I'm sharing it with you all. I bought some Christmas cards a couple of months ago. I think they were made for people who feel neglected or ignored for one reason or another. At the time, they made a lot of sense to me - I was very angry.
I still think they could be useful, and not just at holiday time. So, here goes.

Are you as conflicted about holiday cards as I am? Some people miraculously mange to execute the family newsletter or portrait extravaganza, thereby actually contributing something to the world, but then there are those of us who simply scrawl our name under gold-emobssed seasons greetings. Why do we do this, destroying innocent trees to boot? It's one of two things: either we're slaves to empty social ritual or we're imploring, "I'm here! I'm still here! Don't take me off your list!"
But you know what?

I AM still here.

(Don't take me off your list.)
