My grandmother Dorethy passed away Tuesday August 26th. She was 99 years, 4 months and 13 days old.
Can you imagine what she saw in her lifetime? This is the verse that was chosen for her visitation card. I hope you all have or had someone like her in your lives, and I hope this message brings comfort to all of you who have lost loved ones, no matter how long ago. AFTERGLOW I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways of happy times and laughing times and bright sun shiny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when my life is done. |

Oh how exquisitely put!
I have just lost a friend to breast cancer and after the initial shock of loss, I immediately thought of how well she lived the many years of her happy life I smiled and thought she would want people to remember her that way. Thank you! I will cherish those words forever! May your grandmother's memories wrap you in peace and love! |
