On Mothers' Day, many of us do not have our moms with us to spoil on this day. I just wanted to remember all of those wonderful women, now gone by, who won't be at the barbeques and restaurants and family get-togethers, but who left us a legacy of love, traditions, and great recipes so that we could go on in their footsteps and pass what we have learned on to our daughters and sons and grands. More importantly than each one's talent for gifting or baking or sewing etc., they were the ones who taught us how to CARE and CHERISH.

Thinking of you, Baba, Mama and GreatGramma!! Me & Mom have you in our hearts today and every day!!

Thank you for posting this thread!!

It is wonderful to be able to remember those who have passed, in a public way such as this!

Remembering my beautiful Kentucky grandmother (who made the BEST fried chicken and biscuits); my very "prissy and proper" North Carolina grandmother, "Mama" and my own dear, dear Mother who taught me more about life and love and hard work and how to treat other people than I can even express!

Yes, I am remembering ......

God Bless the moms who are no longer here. God bless the children who miss them today.
