Can the world live with longer life?
By Jac Wilder VerSteeg Palm Beach Post Columnist Thursday, May 18, 2006 There are right-to-life advocates and right-to-die advocates. With a few scientific breakthroughs, the world might need obligation-to-die advocates. The National Center for Health Statistics reports that 2,398,343 people died in America in 2004, which is the most recent year with stats available. So people still are making way for the newest generation. However, the death rate that year reached a record low of 801 per 100,000.
