This is an interesting MSN article. Not sure I call it "news", but maybe common sense is news these days. I do like the additional links about nails, et.al., but I am NOT considering it to be Medical advice.

" realize that our views these days are frequently manipulated by business interests, advertising and "informational" articles designed to boost sales of particular drugs and therapies rather than actually giving patients the best, least invasive treatments."

I think this article contains some excellent information and common sense issues. Because medicine and health care practices change (and have radically changed in the past 20 years), it is extremely WISE to keep up-to-date about health care matters and also to realize that our views these days are frequently manipulated by business interests, advertising and "informational" articles designed to boost sales of particular drugs and therapies rather than actually giving patients the best, least invasive treatments.
It never hurts to be more informed and also to remember how things were accomplished before our "modern" methods supplanted more conventional wisdom. "She ain't heavy; she's my mother." Mom got her wings 11/18/2008 |
