Lighting a candle for Sandra's Mom who fell & broke her hip yesterday morning. Lots of rehab and struggles before them both... Many blessings to Sandra for her loving care of her mom (and dad) and best wishes for a good outcome.
Lighting a candle for y'all...

Sandy's mom took a turn for the worse, so she was sent back to the hospital. There they discovered that her dressings had not been changed since she LEFT the hospital for rehab and the wounds were infected now! Mad Mad Mad

She's receiving IV antibiotics via PICC and is much better spirits. Her cardiologist is concerned about the possibility of her going into CHF, but so far, so good.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!

Glad you stopped by, Sandy! Hope they got your mom all moved and that by Monday, you will not have to spend so much of your daylight hours there as they SHOULD be keepin' Mom plenty, plenty busy!

I dunno about you, but as soon as I finish takin' care of Mom (the Saints are lookin' stoopid against a team that pretty much sux, so football's no dang fun), I'm grabbin' me a couple of Lynchburg Lemonades, a new novel and some nice peppermint-patchouli bath oil I cooked up in my la-bora-tory and am indulging myself in full immersion therapy for a couple of hours or until I prunify, whichever comes first... Razz

MB, thanks for your wishes and especially, for always being just a phone call away. You've kept me grounded and have been right there, along side of me when I needed a voice of reason and a shoulder (or 2) to lean on and, you've got some tremendous shoulders there, girlfriend. Big Grin

Hope everyone else from way-back-when and those I've never met are all doing well and holding up! I
