Used the JVC digital camera(h's toy) video and still shot option. Thought it was supposed to be on SD card But NOT, still photos are on the hard drive, and put them in "My pictures", so they are saved. The very patient Lady at Wal-Mart, told me I should be able to transfer them to the SD card if they were still on the HDD, following the simple step by step instructions in my manual, but I swear, I can't find this. At least I have the pics in My Computor now. I did down load them there, and printed them from my printer( owe H, new ink).
Can I down load them to a disk and get prints made?? Hub will be home in a few days, he'll figure it out if I can't, but at least they are saved somewhere. * the crystal ball (*) is in the shop>>>> |

Dochka, I think this has been there for some time, but I never tried it out... I just tested it and apparently it makes a personal album for you. When you add a photo, it automatically makes a post in the "About Our Community" forum.
Check out the test run... http://eldercare.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2026095151/m/4001047374 Since I have a photobucket account, my own websites, etc. I would probably not use this feature, but others may be interested. "She ain't heavy; she's my mother." |

Dear BC, What a beautiful lady your mom is!
Hi, momBC! I think we have a new feature on the forum for photos under "album", but I haven't had time to look into it. |

BC, if you cannot move them from the HDD to the SD because they are not there any more, you should be able to hook up that SD thingy to your 'puter with a USB cable and then you can move the files from yout C: to the SD drive (whatever its letter is...) If you are having trouble locating where your camera copied things to on your hard drive, search in Windows Explorer for files created on *the date you transferred them to your computer's hard drive*. Might also be able to find them from Start>Documents>My Documents or My Pictures. Some computers display Recently created/changed documents there too.

OK, I'll try to think one thing at a time. The camera is a JVC hard disk camcorder (GZ-MG77U) H ordered it off of one of them shopping networks. it should do still shots and videos. the SD card is a thing I'm supposed to be able to take to 'wal Mart or where ever to get digital prints rather than just what my printer spits out. Real Photos. Some where , I'm suppossed to be able to transfer from HDD to the SD card, but don't find it in the manual. Maybe I just can't read any more, but I just can't find these instructions. Maybe, can't be done. Did get them into my computer, tho, and they are not lost.
When I took the card( or chip) or whatever to Wal-Mart, there were pics on it, but the ones I thought would be there weren't. Relieved they were still on the hard drive, and not lost. May have to get one of the Photo do-hickeys with photo paper to get them out of the computer. The SD card is a chip like device about 3/4 " by 1 " that sticks in the camera, and can be removed to get photos at a photo counter. * the crystal ball (*) is in the shop>>>> |

OK BC. Might can help. Now talk real slow and don't leave anything out. First, what is the exact model name & # of your camera? I take it that your abbreviation HDD means "hard disk drive"? What does SD mean? If you have downloaded them from your camera to your hard drive, why do you want to put them back? Can't you simply print them out from your printer? I don't understand why you want to put them back on the SD to have someone else make prints?
