Dear Members,

Over the last 11 years ElderCare Online and it's ElderCare Forum have been free resources for family caregivers. I have borne the costs myself in the hopes that it would become a booming internet business. Needless to say, that boom never happened. So while the little bit of advertising revenue pays some of the bills, most get paid out of my pocket.

I am not moaning or groaning, but just telling it like it is.

In the recent past, some members offered to make some contributions to help keep the website up and running when we had some "service interruptions." Those contributions were generous and so welcomed.

I would like to request that members who have the inclination and wherewithal to consider making a contribution to the community to pay hosting and software fees.

We are not a non-profit organization (no tax deductions, sorry). Just consider it a contribution for a well-regarded service. I will look into giving supporters a little icon next to their name (unless you would like to remain anonymous).

Private message me if you would like to discuss this or if you would like the information on our PayPal account.

Thank you for your years of support and you are welcome for the years of free information, education and support.

P.S. You can always support us indirectly by using our Amazon.com portal (through the Bookstore) for any Amazon.com shopping, and by checking out any ads through Google that interst you.

Best Regards,
Richard O'Boyle, Founder

As I slowly move forward, I have established an account with PayPal. This gives a secure, easy and convenient way to make a small contribution towards the maintenance of the Forum and overall website. I have a set contribution level of $10.00. If you would like to make a different contribution or donate with another payment method, please message me.

The Donation buttons are on the main page of the ElderCare Online website and each of the topical content channels.

I just want to add that I am so thankful for the support --- monetary, business and emotional --- that I have received over the last 10+ years. If you ever have any type of comment, suggestions, praise or critique, please don't hesitate to message me.

Rich, I have read this, as I am sure others have, too. For some reason it says 0 views when I look. I know at least some of us will contribute to an effort to keep this site operational. Looking for more info. Thanks.
