I just read a NY Times article that listed these sources for help paying for meds.
With the crunch of today's economy do not skimp on neccesary medications. Partnership for Prescription Assistance https://www.pparx.org/Intro.php Medline Plus http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/financialassistance.html |

Everytime I tried to get help for Mom when she hit the medicare "donut hole", I got roadblocked when they found she did have "prescription coverage". Even though she was in the donut hole, and had to pay full price for all prescriptions, she didn't qualify cause she did have Medicare part D. I did try pparx.org too. I tried many programs that are all supposed to help.
The only company that had a program that included people in the "donut hole" was Astra Zeneca. I've used them for me as well as Mom. They are SO easy to deal with too. Qualify you over the phone many times. |

DOCHKA, I read an NYT article, also. Might be the same one. If so, there were some more good tips. Not many that apply my situation or Mom's but maybe someone here could benefit from the info so here is the link to the one I read.
